Luna InsightŪ is the application program used to maintain and
view collections of images which are owned or licensed for access by the Cornell
community.
Cornell Students, Faculty, Staff, and Affiliates can view the Image Collections by two methods, through the Insight Java Client program, or through the Insight Browser via the World Wide Web. This site is for educational,

The Java Client Current Cornell Community members may download the Java Client Program to their personal computer (PC or Macintosh), and can gain access to the collections on- or off-campus using a secured account from the Cornell Institute for Digital Collections. The Java Client Program requires a valid Cornell NetID and Password for download on- or off-campus. There are some required or recommended computer specifications for Java Client access. Also, please read instructions for download carefully at the link below, as some users may need to acquire a special logon to Insight, or otherwise configure their installation.
The Web Browser Client
The Insight Java Client Program has more powerful features than the Insight Browser in working with collections. However, Browser access is quick, does not require a login, and is open to everyone everywhere, except when copyright restrictions prohibit certain collection access from an off-campus computer. There are some required or recommended computer specifications for Browser access. The Insight Browser operates through Internet Explorer 5.0+ or Netscape Navigator 6.2+ The Browser does not require installation or plug-ins.
